Henry Chen

Education: MS in Business Administration from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and BS degree from Fu Jen Catholic University and doctoral program of chemistry at University of Iowa.


Henry Chen is a senior vice president with major investment activities in Greater China area. Prior to joining Monet Capital, Mr. Chen held engineering and executive positions at China Chemical and Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Cyanamid Taiwan, Inc., Kuang-Hwa Investment Holding Company, China Investment Development Corporation, and Sunsino Group.

 

John Chen

Focus: Financial strategy planning and analysis, Tax planning, M&A and IPO planning.
Industry: Semiconductor (IC design, package, testing), Software, Telecommunications, Computers,...etc.
Education: Accounting degree from Tunghai University.


John Chen is a vice president whose investment activities focus on semiconductor (included IC design, package, testing), software, and telecommunications. Prior to jointing Monet Capital, John Chen was an underwriter manager of Core-Pacific Securities Corp. from 1990 to 1996. He helped many high-tech Corp. to file IPO in Taiwan. John Chen was on the original founding team of World Wide Test Technology Inc. in 1996, where he helped build the financial strategy and accounting system. He planned and raised total US$60M. He also helped to get the lowest cost of bank loan. The company became one of the leading roles regarding IC testing in Taiwan. In 1999, John Chen became one of the funding partners of Asia Tech Capital management Inc. He had invested Sino-American Silicon Products Inc. and helped to file IPO. The company successfully went public in 2001. In 2000, he invested in LITE-ON semiconductor and helped it merged with Dyan Image Corp. Currently John Chen is serving on the board of inspectors for Sino-American Silicon Products Inc.

 

Cindy Chang

Education: BSE Economics from U.C. Berkeley.



Cindy Chang joined Monet Capital, LLC in 2000. Starting as a financial analyst in Monet, she focused on financial due diligence on investments. Cindy now works closely with Monet's portfolio companies as a portfolio manager whose responsibility includes overseeing management and operation reviews. Prior to Monet, Cindy was an account manager with Askey Computer Corp., a public company in Taiwan that is a leading manufacture for integrated computer communications products, including analog, cable (including voice over IP) and ADSL modems, digital imaging equipment, routers and computer/television integration hardware. She currently serves on the board of Nextweb Inc.

 

David Yu

Title: Project Manager at Herbal Tech, Inc.
Focus: Project Manager, Web Development, Usability, and Design.
Term: Since 2002.
Education: BS in Information Technology from U of Phoenix Online.



David Yu joined Monet Capital, LLC in mid 2002 to help start and run Herbal Tech, Inc. Yu was previously Systems Support Coordinator for rich media communications firm 3CX. Yu, however, is best known for his tenure as Web Development Coordinator and Systems Quality Assurance for the Drug Safety Systems department of Roche Bioscience in Palo Alto, CA through the company's high growth years from July 1997 to July 2001. Previous to Roche, Yu spent one year at Internet Service Provider in San Jose, CA in various QA / Software Testing assignments. From September 1996 to July 1997 Yu was a QA consultant with 2n-1, a communications technology company. Yu has been president of DHY Consulting, a private technology consulting firm, since August 1998.

Yu received his BS degree in Information Technology from University of Phoenix, Online.
